Rick Mannell After a number of years in the private sector in various management positions with Canada’s largest book retailer, Rick joined the College in 1983 as a Buyer, serving later as an Office Automation Officer, a Systems Analyst, and for several years as General Manager of the College’s Bookstores & Computer Store. Rick came to his present position in early 2000. Holding degrees in History and Religion including successful completion of graduate work in Ancient Near Eastern Studies, Rick trained as an archaeologist, spending two seasons at sites in the Middle East. In addition to memberships in several career related associations in the College Business & Ancillaries areas, Rick is a member of a number of scholarly professional organizations including the American Schools of Oriental Research and The American Academy of Religion.

Since this time he has been the General Manager of the Food & Beverage Operations department at the Woodroffe Campus. Mike is a member of the Canadian College and University Food Service Association and Buying Group and the Ontario Restaurant and Food Service Association. |

Karen holds a position on the boards of Campus Retail Canada, the Canadian Association of College Computer Stores and the Canadian Collegiate Buying Group. She is a member of the Eastern Association of College Stores and the National Association of College Stores. |

Alanna McDonell mcdonea@algonquincollege.com (613) 727-4723, ext 7140 / fax: (613) 727-7787 Prior to coming to work for the College, Alanna was the Director of Sales and Marketing for a manufacturer based outside of Cleveland, Ohio. Since coming to the College in 2002, she has served as the Marketing Manager for the College Ancillary Services. In addition to this position Alanna took on the role of Conference Services Manager in 2003. Alanna holds memberships with the Ottawa Tourism and Convention Authority, the Association of Collegiate Conference and Event Directors-International and the College and University Conference Officers Association of Canada. |
| Manager, Parking, Lockers, Coin Ops & Card Services | |
Roch Lafond Roch began his career at Algonquin College in 1994 as a parking enforcement officer with Security Services. He brings with him over 14 years experience in parking operations. In March 2003 he was appointed Parking Services Operations Supervisor and in April 2006 he became Asisstant Manager. He is currently Acting Manager of Algonquin College Parking Services. Roch holds memberships with the International Parking Institute, Canadian Parking Association, Ontario Campus Parking Association, National Association of Campus Card Users and has CCPFM designation.
